French Broadcast This Friday

Hi there

Tomorrow, Friday 23rd, the French station "La Grosse Radio" will broadcast our song "Replacements" during the 8pm-9pm (CET) show "Le Gros Virus"! The show will be broadcasted again on Sunday (7pm-8pm) and then made available on Podcast since then!
We really want to thank the lovely Cedric very very much for having us on his show as this is our first radio play ever and it's definitely amazing that this is happening in France!!

As for gigs news, we sadly have to report that the announced show in Fossano has been cancelled (it should be rescheduled soon anyway). The already confirmed show with Damien* at Velvet Club is now taking place on Saturday 14th April instead of the previously announced date. We are fixing some more shows for March/April and should really be able to tell you soon.

Last but not least, Roy landed in Madrid last week. He's alive and is already following lectures. What a pisser!!

Cheers for now!

See Ya, Roy

Hello there

Our beloved bassman is leaving us tomorrow. He's off to Madrid for a few months, partying and getting high all time. The bastard! We wish him a nice time in Spain and a lovely time throughout his stay. We should visit him sometime or he will visit us in Barcelona when we fly over there for Primavera Sound, a festival that we recommend you. Anyway, see you soon you sick man!!

As a bassman leaves, another one is ready to be on board. Today we've had our first rehearsal with Stefano (yes, my brother). Things were pretty easy in the end, far better than we expected. That's cool, it means we won't have to get pissed at him after weeks of failures. We'll be ready to kick off the live shows pretty soon. We have a scheduled date at the end of the month for the moment but we're working on loads for March and April. If things go as we'd love then it's really going to be an amazing Spring.

We'll keep updates posted as soon as we have.

Cheers for now
all the best

Loud Underground

Hello there,

Happy new year, first of all. Not cold at all over here but it may turn soon. Hope you'll be warm again by the time we are hitting the road in March as we are now taking a break. Exams and rehearsing with our new bassist will do it for the current month and February. No, Roy is not going to be kicked out of the band. He will just leave us for six months as he'll be off to Madrid on Erasmus. While he's in sunny Spain we'll play with another lad we will soon tell you about.

Anyway, yesterday we played a tremendous show at ZooBar. We headlined the night at Torino Sotterranea and went onstage around 12.20am, later than our scheduled time>11.45pm (then moved to midnight). As we knew we couldn't have all the time in the world, we suddenly launched ourselves into a terrific Pop Dreams, soon followed by killing single Replacements (with no backing vocals as my microphone was kind of turned off). The set included a new song, never played live before, and an amazing version of Catch A Breath, definitely the best we've played so far. Final noise with a special cover of Primal Scream's Accelerator did the rest, ending the show in feedbacks and with the consciousness of being a powerful live act. Complete setlist:

POP DREAMS
REPLACEMENTS
NEW ONE
CATCH A BREATH
SHOEGAZER
ACCELERATOR

That's all for now. We will save some space on here to wish Roy a good luck with his trip. We may make a visit for some dates over there but as it's not confirmed yet we prefer to keep the mouth shut. More news to follow, anyway.

Have a good weekend!
Cheers,

Loz

Live & Alive

Hi there

Been a while since my last post here. We had a long weekend this past week. First, me and Ham travelled to some village near Piacenza on Saturday to meet Carla & Fabrizio of Tea Kettle. We had a really good time with a dinner them, talking about future plans as regards the agency and the label that we hope we'll be part of. Then we celebrated Carla for getting gratuated. Ham performed a solo show voice+guitar which, despite problems with his vocals for being ill, turned out more than fine. He played some new tunes that still haven't been done at rehearsals. From what they sounded with the guitar only, I believe these will become really good ones.

Yesterday, after watching our football team Toro winning again and jumping straight to Europe cups on table, we had the show at Rock On Cicle. We were the last to play and went onstage around 00.30 am. Despite playing in front of just a few people (almost all of the six friends attending) we did a very good one. Ham had to face difficulties as the ampli stopped working in the middle of "Replacements", which me and Roy kept playing to the end. We played it again and this time we didn't suffer from any more problems. This was the first time we got to play a new song, currently called "shoegazer". Of course it's still a working title and it's called like that as it sounds shimmering like the early nineties' bands. It seemed to be an highlight of the set together with "Catch A Breath". We went out of the contest only getting 4 votes from the public (plus 20 from the judges), not enough to go close to the bands who had taken lots of friends with them. Are we feeling upset? Not at all. We only cared of playing at our best, no matter if we hadn't passed the turn. Turin isn't ready for loud pop tunes and we are not willing to wait.
Here we go with the setlist:

(Noise intro to)
POP DREAMS
SATAN
REPLACEMENTS
CATCH A BREATH
HIDE AWAY
SHOEGAZER
(fucking noisy end)

That will do it for 2006. Next year it will have to be a great one. We all think it's going to be like that so we keep fingers crossed. We wish you a Happy Christmas and Happy New Year and we'll keep this updated with news as we have them. Next show will be on 12th January at Zoo Bar for Torino Sotterranea. Then Glastonbury, Benicassim and All Tomorrow's Parties ;)

All the best
Cheers

Tea-kettle Records

Tea-kettle records is a small and very young indie label born in Piacenza just four day ago. It wants to develop some bloody cool pop music as a label and booking agency. Well, now we are part of it and Tea-kettle is now our booking agency.

If you want to book us you can mail Carla or send her a message on the label's myspace.
