Update: Turin Show Cancelled!

Hi all

It's with big regret that we announce that the show at Stoner Club is not going ahead anymore, either for the 8th or the 22nd.
After various confirmations from the band but misunderstandings from the club, playing with two more bands on the 8th is the last chance we were offered. Now, we don't really feel like doing this after talking for 90 days about the one and only date we should have headlined and seeing it given to another band instead just a few days ago. Having been offered a slot on the 22nd (only 3 days ago) that we decided to accept in order to avoid further and unpleasant quarrels, we were hoping it would have gone ahead just like we had previously announced on here. Unfortunately, it's been quickly given to some tribute band instead and the date is closed already.
We would have liked it to be our night (with the launch of our first recording) and we had been working on it since the middle of October but it's not only a matter of headlining. If we always have to pay for someone else's faults then it really becomes frustrating.
Who wants to see us can still catch the chance on Sunday 17th December. Not that we really look forward to it now.

Cheers

Turin Show Postponed

Hi all

Just a quick communication this time. Our first Turin show, previously announced for the 8th December, will now happen on the 22nd. It'll still be on a Friday and we all hope you can make it to the gig. Don't expect Christmas covers even though we'll be close to it.
Our debut show in Turin will now be the one at Soundfactory for the Rock On Circle contest on Sunday 17th December.
Se you all there!

Studio - Day 3

Yo boys!

Here we go, our demo is finished. You can hear the final version of three songs on our myspace page, just click the image next to this and cross your fingers: it's still taking time to load the third track, the fucking speedy Hide Away. Apologies again if it sounds so punky, we use to do it a little slower. Anyway, that's it, the job is done and we're all satisfied with the result. Hope you'll leave your opinions, they're all appreciated.

Download and spread our verb all over the net!

Cheers,
Jody

Studio - Day 2

Hi again

Today it's been Ham's turn on recording. The dude did lots of guitar tracks - most of them DISTORTED -
and it sounded great. I wonder how many italian bands have ever done 6 tracks for a "pop" song.. I let you imagine for the harder ones.. His vocals could be compared to the Blur era while the sound is huge and powerful from the "rough" mix. Guess it will be grandious for the final one.
As regards "Hide Away", you'll get to hear it freaking speedy. Forgive me but after I was fucking various takes up again and again, I must have lost control yesterday and did a very quick one. Not too bad as Ham managed to sing it fine the first time. Me and Roy failed to do backing vocals, I guess we weren't used to even though I always do well at rehearsals. Nevermind, mine will come with next recording as soon as some label kicks our asses to the studio again. We all hope it won't be years away as we enjoyed this very much.
Tomorrow we will mix all and see what comes out of it. Hopefully posting the songs on myspace tomorrow evening if it's alright.
Talk soon, stay primal

Studio - Day 1

Hi there

First days of recordings at sPAZIO 211, it went pretty good. I had to face problems with my snare plus pedal shit (god bless the day I'll buy a new one). I did various takes off each song but then we got to choose the final version for any of them. Roy did his sick job in a shorter time. The stuff sounds cool, it's not as perfect as you will hear in big productions but time doesn't await us plus we're a rough band and that's how you'll get to hear us live. So, if any mistake is gonna make it on the final mix, it's not our problem! We wanna hit, not be clean and precise. We do not play progressive.
Tomorrow Ham's gonna have all the lights on him and his distortion pedals. Then day 3 for mixing and finishing this demo. See you tomorrow with latest updates!
Cheers,
Jody

Songs Songs Songs!

We're writing new stuff! We ended today's reahearsal with three new good songs. Two are mine and one is Roy's. I brought a melancholic ballad son of my favourite folksingers such as, dunno!, someone like Gram Parsons? maybe. The other one is the kind of power-ballad I'm able to write like the pole-position hit single Catch A Breath. Roy's one is a baggy-pop tune inspired by the Stone Roses... We tried to turn it into a more melodic version and we definitely did it!

We've also confirmed the studio: 20th, 21st, 22nd November @ Spazio211.
